About the author
My name is Sandra Diane Brown and I created The Dog Tails Storybook Collection for a simple but powerful purpose: to give back. Each story blends imagination with real-life experiences, celebrating friendship, kindness, and the joy of rescued animals.
These whimsical tales are more than just bedtime stories—they’re part of a bigger mission to raise funds and awareness for animal rescue organizations doing life-changing work. Every book is a step toward hope, healing, and a future where every tail has a happy ending.

If my stories speak to your heart, I invite you to purchase a book and join me in this mission. Together, we can make a difference—one tail at a time.

Grace’s Story: The Heart Behind The Dog Tail Books
I found Grace on the side of the road in Arlington, Texas. It was raining, and she was so cold her teeth were chattering. The vet told me she was a hairless Great Pyrenees and recommended euthanasia. But I saw something in her eyes—a quiet strength, a will to live. I took her home and slowly nursed her back to health.

Despite everything she’d endured, Grace was gentle, sweet, and full of love. Her resilience changed me. I knew then that I had to give back to animal rescue.

Through the Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue Group, I met incredible volunteers—people like Al and Becky Petrusky, who give everything they have to save animals in need. Their dedication inspired me to create The Dog Tails Storybook Collection.

Each book is a celebration of hope, kindness, and second chances. And every purchase helps support animal rescue efforts—because every Grace deserves a chance to be loved.
Because Every Life Deserves a Happily Ever After

Rocco's Journey
When I first heard about Rocco, he was in danger at the local SPCA. I went to visit him and knew instantly—I had to bring him home. As I left, the staff said, “Good luck with him.” Rocco hadn’t eaten in three weeks. He was dangerously underweight, so weak he couldn’t lift his head.

The first vet believed he was too far gone. But I wasn’t ready to give up. A second vet discovered whipworm and severe pneumonia. With time, patience, and a lot of love, Rocco slowly began to heal. He went from 50 pounds to a healthy 100, and today—nine years later—he’s the best dog I’ve ever known.

I believe Rocco knows he was saved not once, but twice. His gratitude shines through every wag of his tail. Rocco's story encouraged The Dog Tails Storybook Collection —a way to share joy, hope, and help other animals find their second chance.
A portion of every book sale is donated to animal rescue groups, so every story helps save a life—just like Rocco’s.
